Overview

Aeria Canada’s second hit, with open levels, beasts, and hunting weapons.

After the positive reception of American Block Sniper, the team worked on another game with the same aesthetic but a different story, setting, levels, weapons, and enemies. As a Game Designer, I worked with the team analyzing what worked on the previous title and expanding upon it, implementing a difficulty selector, hunting weapons, and new enemies like bears and wolves. We also improved the enemy AI, hit registration, lighting, animations, and leaderboards. To achieve all of this I conceptualized, designed, prototyped, and documented the new features added to the game. Later I A/B tested game variants to determine the optimal balance values, functionality tweaks, and improvements for future updates.

“David brings enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and honesty to the studio. His ability to listen, communicate, and learn are some of the reasons that lead him to be a key player in the development of many of our games and the success they achieved.”
