Highway Getaway’s last update was a while ago. Certain aspects of the game hadn't aged gracefully, and the overall game required adaptation to keep up with the market's evolving trends and demands. Our team was tasked with revitalizing it as we saw fit. We conducted an in-depth analysis of the game and created a roadmap that included various enhancements, additions, and fixes. This ranged from refining the FTUE, enhancing the UI/UX, and tweaking gameplay dynamics, all the way to transitioning from the endless genre to a more casual one, complete with level progression, missions, and objectives. The team created new mini-games, introduced new cars, and offered customization options that players could unlock as they progressed through the game. We also integrated in-game events and LiveOps. As a Producer, I acted as a SCRUM master. I managed sprint planning, allocated staff, resources, and budget, conducted risk assessments, and had contingency plans prepped. Once the update was published, I collaborated closely with the Marketing, User Acquisition, and Community teams to launch promotional campaigns attracting players to the game. The result? An improvement in D3 retention, LTV, and quarterly revenue.
