Overview
My first PC game and introduction to Game Design.
After gaining experience working on a couple of mobile games, I joined a team tasked with developing the studio’s first PC game and releasing it on Steam. As an Assistant Producer, I managed the publishing aspect handling all requirements and compliances from Steam needed to spotlight the game on Steam Greenlight. I worked with the Marketing team creating assets for promotional campaigns, trailers, and exclusive player access for testing in a closed alpha phase. While managing all these processes I got quite involved with the project and started to collaborate from the game design perspective. I asked to be switched from Assistant Producer to Junior Game Designer and helped the design team brainstorm, document, and prototype ideas that made it to the final product. I was introduced to UI/UX, level, story, and content design. The game was released with a positive reception and I kept working as a Junior Game Designer in subsequent projects.
